Model 65

Market price started at $155 USD with factory steel nibs and nib upgrades were available. Nickname was Stabilis shared with the larger version in the 66. One flat on the barrel side.

The Model 65 fountain pen was the production version of what we created as our first tester kit in late 2011. The 65 is semi-retired and is now on SEO (special edition only) status, so we make it occasionally in limited production. Made in USA at our North Carolina facility.

The 65 is the smaller of the two Stabilis desk pens, and uses the smaller #5 HP Steel or 14K nib.

There is a flat side on the barrel which allows the pen to be placed on a desk without rolling. This spot also contains the blind engraving "Franklin-Christoph Model 65".  The caps post deeply on both pens for balanced writing.

Featuring our special block threads at the end of the grip section. The block threads are out of the way of your fingers, and smooth to the touch as it is. Placing the threads at this spot also limits the amount of air within the cap chamber, thereby helping to eliminate dry out. The design of our block threads also releases the air when you unscrew so as to not create a suction effect on the ink.

Each pen can be filled via long or short international cartridge, by converter, or via eye dropper. We recommend a little silicone grease on the threads if you use as an eye dropper. Best on section to barrel threads, and nib housing to grip section threads for maximum protection. Barrel holds approximately 3.1ml of ink when eyedroppered.

Shipped in a zippered single pen pouch in lieu of a gift box. Free global shipping.
